On your first visit to Hazan Healthy Smiles you should plan to arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment for all paperwork to be completed. All your information will remain confidential.

We take great pride in running on time, so once you have completed the form, we will show you into the treatment room where you will meet our team. Your examination will include:

 A comprehensive discussion of your dental concerns and what you want from us. We will discuss your dental and medical history because your general health affects your dental health.

 Thorough examination of your teeth.

 Thorough examination of your gums. Periodontal disease (gum disease) is very common and often the only sign is bleeding gums. Early detection and treatment is important to maintain good dental health.

 We often need to take necessary x-rays. We use digital radiography. These use up to 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays. This will allow us to check between your teeth and under old fillings for signs of decay and disease. It also helps us detect gum disease.

 We will use an intra oral camera (tooth cam) to take digital photographs of significant features inside your mouth.

 We will screen for oral cancer, examining all the soft tissues inside your mouth. Early detection is important.

 Cosmetic evaluation of your smile using digital photographs if you have cosmetic requirements.

 We may make study models of your teeth to look at how they relate to each other.

 Before we do any dental treatment, we will talk with you to ensure you have a full understanding of the need, the cost and any treatment alternatives. The cost of the appointment is between $195 and $295.

Please bring your health insurance card with you if you wish for us to claim on your behalf. Otherwise you will be provided with an itemized receipt which can be claimed from your insurance company. If any unforeseen event prevents you from attending your appointment please be advised that we require 24 hours notice in order to avoid a cancellation fee.
